The Lightness of Art, under the scientific curatorship of Alberto Salvadori and Luca Zaffarano, is promoted by the ComitArt Association of Acqui Terme and realised by the Municipality of Acqui Terme, Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Repetto Gallery.
Bruno Munari. The lightness of art brings together around fifty works from private collections, divided into thematic sections, by one of the most interesting figures on the Italian cultural scene of the 20th century; a recognised protagonist in many fields, he was a graphic designer, industrial designer, writer, teacher and trainer. After the success in Verona, Acqui Terme is preparing to host the anthological exhibition on one of the most iconic figures of 20th century design and visual communication. As Bruno Lulani, President of ComitArt, explains: The 2024 anthological exhibition pays tribute to Bruno Munari, one of the greats of contemporary art and design, an experimenter who was versed in the visual arts: painting, sculpture, graphics, cinematography.
The curators of the exhibition, Alberto Salvadori and Luca Zaffarano, explain: In this exhibition we have selected the most relevant themes from Munari’s research, at least from our point of view, and have structured the exhibition around five themes. These ‘paths’ are like suggestions to deepen the story of Munari and his being an experimental artist.
