Organised by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in collaboration with MAXXI, the exhibition continues the research initiated by its curator, Gloria Moure, by highlighting the uniqueness of Anselmo’s art. A journey through his career from the 1960s to the present day to narrate the creative approach of an artist who has actively and with great sensitivity investigated the energies, forces and dynamics that govern the universe.
Between the visible and the invisible, the works in the exhibition give the public a portrait of an artist linked to the Poveristi group who has been able to break free from any label, creating his own artistic alphabet. This alphabet has found its character in physicality, in the concepts of space and time, and in the wide range of media and elements used.
